The frontier前沿概述

Energy is the master input — every other technology in this atlas runs on it. Solar is the form that scales: a fusion reactor 150 million kilometres away, free, with a five-billion-year warranty. The remarkable fact of the last twenty years is that humans figured out how to harvest its output for less than a cent of value per photon. Silicon panels obey their own Moore's-law-of-cost (Swanson's Law): every doubling of cumulative shipped capacity drops module cost about 20%. Silicon panels are at 24%+ commercial efficiency, perovskite-silicon tandems are crossing 33% in the lab, and unsubsidized utility-scale solar is the cheapest electricity ever generated by humanity in many sunny markets. The bottleneck has moved to the grid (intermittency, transmission) and to storage.
