The frontier前沿概述

Manufacturing has been moving toward additive — building objects layer by layer from a digital file — for forty years. What started as plastic prototypes is now structural rocket parts, dental crowns, jet-engine fuel nozzles, houses, and small organs. The economic shift is profound: distance to consumer collapses, design becomes the product, inventory becomes a file. The civilization-scale shift is bigger still: if you can print, you don't have to ship; if you don't have to ship, geography matters less than it did before steamships.制造业向“增材”方向迁徙——按数字文件逐层构筑物件——已 40 年。它从塑料样件开始,如今打印结构性火箭部件、牙冠、喷气发动机喷嘴、房屋,乃至小型器官。经济意义重大:到消费者的距离坍缩、设计本身成为产品、库存只是一份文件。文明意义更大:能打印,便不必运输;不必运输,地理便不再像蒸汽船以前那样重要。

Metal additive is now mainstream in aerospace and medical. Construction printing is leaving novelty and entering policy (housing). Bioprinting has produced functioning skin and cartilage and is iterating toward whole organs.
